Cove Terraces

Cove Terraces is a self-initiated residential study exploring the relationship between architecture, water and everyday life within a coastal landscape.

Rather than relying on a single dominant volume, the project unfolds through a sequence of residential masses following the terrain. Terraces, pools and planted spaces act as inhabited thresholds between the buildings and the coastline.

The visualization focuses less on the architecture as an isolated object and more on how the spaces might be occupied at the end of the day. Warm facade materials, layered planting and the distant horizon are brought together within a restrained visual language.

Human presence is used not only to establish scale, but to suggest the everyday rhythm of the place.

Purpose

To explore coastal living as an integrated environment where architecture, landscape, water and inhabited terraces operate as one continuous spatial experience.

Visual decisions

The camera was positioned at a slightly elevated human scale, allowing the primary residence, secondary volumes, terraces and coastline to remain legible within a single composition.
Dense foreground planting frames the architecture and creates depth, while the warm late-day light emphasizes the masonry surfaces against the cooler tones of the sea and sky.
Human figures remain secondary to the architecture, introducing small moments of occupation across the terraces rather than becoming the main subject of the image.

Outcome

A residential image that communicates not only the architecture, but also its scale, atmosphere and potential for everyday life within the coastal landscape.
