Veil Tower
An office tower study exploring light, privacy and urban visibility through a filtering second skin.

Veil Tower is a self-initiated high-rise study exploring the relationship between facade, interior life and the surrounding city.
The project is defined by the tension between a transparent inner facade and a fine outer screen. During the day, the second skin filters light and visibility; toward evening, it allows the illuminated interior volumes to appear as layered fragments behind the facade.
The visualization series focuses on how the same envelope changes across different lighting conditions. In daylight and blue hour, the grid reads as a calm graphic layer, while at night the warm interior spaces become increasingly visible behind it.
At ground level, the building is treated not only as an office object, but as part of a public urban landscape.
Purpose
To explore the second skin not simply as a shading device, but as an active architectural system shaping light, privacy, facade depth and the building’s nighttime identity.
Visual decisions
Different viewpoints and lighting conditions were used to reveal the changing character of the outer screen. The frontal view emphasizes the scale and rhythm of the grid, while the corner perspectives reveal the depth between the second skin and the occupied interior volumes.
Cool blue-hour tones are balanced against warm interior light, preventing the facade from reading as either completely opaque or fully transparent. Wet paving introduces a secondary reflective layer at street level, while human figures establish scale and reinforce the public character of the ground floor.
Outcome
A high-rise series in which the facade shifts from a calm graphic layer by day to a luminous filter at night, allowing the building envelope to change with occupation and light.
